Why China may be plotting a ‘short’ border war with India as in 1962

Threats from China

Source: First Post – by R Jagannathan  Jun 6, 2015 12:15 IST

The signs are ominous on the China front for India. Consider the smoke signals emanating from Beijing.

First, it has told us clearly that it is not interested in clearly delineating a line of actual control (LAC) on the border, pending a final settlement. This shows that it wants to change the status quo and take some territory from us. No willingness to agree on the LAC means China will not settle the border except on its terms.

Threatened bonhomie? Reuters

Second, it has taken a deliberately contradictory position on Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), China-occupied Kashmir (mostly Aksai Chin in Ladakh) and areas in India – mainly in Arunachal Pradesh – that it says are disputed areas. It protests any development project or Indian action in Arunachal, or even the South China Sea (again, a sea with several claimants) but has no qualms about investing in PoK or CoK, which are clearly in dispute or illegal occupation by Pakistan or China.

Third, the recent escalation of terrorism in Manipur should been seen in context. Yesterday (4 June), 18 armymen were killed in an ambush in Manipur, and last month a similar attack took place in Nagaland, where eight Assam Rifles jawans being killed. While there may be no direct China hand in this resurgence of terrorism (or, at least, none that we know of), ask yourself a simple question: who benefits the most from bringing the North-East back to boiling point? It suits China to keep our army tied up in various insurgencies, especially when Indo-Bangladesh ties are improving and Sheikh Hasina has taken a strong line on containing anti-India forces.

Fourth, we already know that China has backed its territorial claims by constantly patrolling and even transgressing into Indian territory, with the incursion into Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh in August 2013 being the most blatant and indicative of where future perils lie. It was the first instance where Chinese soldiers just walked into Indian areas and tried to demolish a boundary wall. (Watch these videos of the incident here and here).

There are good reasons to believe that China may not be beyond contemplating another short war with India. We should be on an extraordinary alert for Chinese war signals, preparations or indications of hostile intent.

As India strengthens it Asian alliances and improves its defence capabilities steadily, the current huge asymmetry in military power between the two will be partially redressed. If China wants to try any strong-arm tactics against us, it has to do so using the narrow window of time when the military skew is against us. After 5-10 years of economic and military build-up by us, China’s capacity to act against us will fall dramatically.

Moreover, the Chinese economy is slowing while the Indian economy is putting its UPA-induced slowdown behind. This means domestic anger in China will need channeling into jingoism as jobs and growth slow down. While Japan is one perennial target, a small territorial grab from India will seem attractive to China’s Communist leadership. China is currently calculating how India will respond to this, and that is the prime purpose of its incursions into Indian territory. It is trying to figure out how we will respond.

It would also be instructive at this point to figure out what China wants and what it may do to get what it wants.

#1: The most likely territorial gain it seeks is probably Tawang in Arunachal, which houses a key Buddhist monastery that threatens China’s complete domination of ideological Tibet and its future. As long as Tawang remains Indian, China fears it could be a staging post for a future Tibetan insurrection or even in the creation of a Dalai Lama based on Indian soil. As we have noted before, Tawang is psychologically crucial to China’s hold on Tibet as it was the birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama and hosts an important 17th century Tibetan Buddhist monastery. The current Dalai Lama (the 14th) spent some time in Tawang after he fled Tibet in 1959 post the Chinese takeover.

#2: China believes that. It made a mistake in 1962 when it held on to large areas of Aksai Chin in Ladakh to ensure easy access to Tibet, but voluntarily withdrew from areas seized in the North-East, including Tawang. It wants to rectify this by any means possible. This explains why it tried to intrude into Tawang in 2013. Rest assured, the Chinese troops who came by would have taken excellent pictures of the Indian fortifications and local topography, especially details that could not have been captured from satellite cameras.

#3: China’s massive investment plan in Pakistan, which includes large areas of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, is less about development and more about a military capability. Chinese investment and construction activities in PoK are important for they indicate how much it is willing to risk in order to defend its interests in the region. PoK and CoK constitute the vortex of central Asia: between them, they abut Afghanistan, Tibet, the Islamic republics of Central Asia and China’s own alienated Muslim province of Xinjiang. So China’s massive investment is intended to maintain a military presence in this area for defensive and offensive reasons: it will try to block jihadi influence in Xinjiang, and also maintain pressure on the Indian army on the Pakistan border.

Now consider how China may be weighing the risks and benefits of a short war over Tawang.

One, it will ask its lackey Pakistan to make the entire western border hot when it wants to pressure India. Pakistani firing and shelling of Indian positions has been not so much on the Line of Control (LoC) but the settled international border (IB). This has probably been done at the urgings of China. It means, when China winks, Pakistan can make the entire Kashmir LoC and IB a live battleground.

Two, insurgency in the North-East will keep the army busy in Nagaland and Manipur, while distracting us from Arunachal.

China’s calculations could revolve around a quick surgical strike to capture Tawang – despite adverse terrain – or a bigger grab in Kashmir to use as a bargaining chip to gain Tawang. It may also be betting that India will not fight too hard for Tawang or threaten nuclear mayhem in retaliation. India has made the mistake of not developing tactical nuclear weapons unlike Pakistan, which will have no qualms about using them if we make territorial gains on the western front.

In essence, China is developing a two-front war capability vis-à-vis India and hobble it with various insurgencies – a Pakistan-propped one in the west, and a more covert one in the north-east. The aim may be to get us to part with Tawang, with or without a short war. With Tawang won, China will put up a show of “magnanimity” and offer to settle the border elsewhere.

The point is simple: China will not see a “short” border war as necessarily a bad thing. India should be more than ready for it, and must lose no time preparing for it.

The key elements of our strategy should be the following: strengthen the army’s preparedness to defend Tawang and Ladakh at all costs and make this obvious to China; create the new mountain corps quickly, and speed up investment in border infrastructure; create a crash pan to develop and deploy tactical nuclear weapons and make it clear that these will be used only on the China border.

The paradox of Narendra Modi successful Asian diplomacy involving China’s rivals (Japan and Vietnam specifically) is that China may want to strike before Modi manages to strengthen India’s economy, defences and alliances. This calculation may have the adverse consequence of making China rush into a short war before India improves his fighting capabilities.

The only way to prevent Chinese adventurism of the 1962 kind is to prepare for one.

Chinese-Pakistani Alliance Deepens

Posted in Threats to India with tags on November 30, 2012 by ghazwatulhind

The link below (sent by a reader) reveals that Pakistani and Chinese military cooperation is becoming both broader and more obvious. If you look at the array of Chinese military equipment flowing from China to Pakistan, it is clear that this is a military alliance which is growing stronger. India has every right to feel threatened by this trend, and the link reports India is boosting its military spending to counter the joint Pakistani-Chinese threat.

Quite noteworthy is the fact that Pakistan invited Chinese soldiers to participate in military exercises on Pakistani soil. Such an action indicates that these nations’ military alliance is becoming so strong that there is no point in hiding it from the world. Of course, China, India and Pakistan are all nuclear powers.

This has huge ramifications for the USA. Pakistan and the USA have been heading toward an open breach. Pakistan is furious at the USA for America’s frequent raids into Pakistani territory and the high-profile raid to grab and kill Osama bin Laden, who was hidden (“sheltered?”) near a major Pakistani military facility. It strains credulity to think that Pakistan didn’t know that bin Laden was there. Convoys transiting Pakistan loaded with heavy supplies needed by US troops in Afghanistan are coming under attack periodically, and Pakistan makes little or no effort to protect them. Now that Pakistan has invited Chinese soldiers into Pakistan for military exercises, how long might it be until Pakistan “invites” Chinese troops to help Pakistan secure its Afghan border? If this happens, it will put American soldiers and airmen at risk of being killed by Communist Chinese forces if the USA stages further attacks into Pakistani territory. Indeed, the time may be coming when Pakistan will openly ally itself with China and forbid the USA to transit its territory with supply convoys. This will make the USA’s position in Afghanistan untenable.

This development continues to fulfill the prophecy of Ezekiel 38:1-6 that Pakistan (part of “Cush” or “Ethiopia” as the KJV translates it) will eventually be part of the Gog-Magog alliance that will attack the nations of the modern ten tribes of Israel (the USA, UK, much of NATO and their allies) at the end of this age. It also pushes India deeper into a necessary alliance with the West and/or an anti-Chinese Pacific Rim alliance made up of Japan, India, and the “young tiger” nations of Taiwan, South Korea, Thailand, Singapore, the Philippines, and even Vietnam. Previous posts to this blog have been predicting the Pakistani-American rift for a long time, based on biblical prophecy in Ezekiel 38, as well as a Pacific Rim alliance based on the prophecy of Ezekiel 38:13. Key modern trends, about which Americans know little, are confirming relentlessly that the Creator God who authored the Bible is directing world events “like a script” to make sure the nations fulfill their Divinely-ordained roles for our critical “latter day” period of time. Isaiah 41:21-26 contains God’s challenge to all other so-called “gods” to make prophecies about the future and prove they can bring them to pass. Ezekiel 38′s prophecy about our time was inspired about 2500 years ago, and the same God who inspired Ezekiel’s prophecy is proving his reality and sovereignty by bringing that prophecy to pass before our very eyes.

For further recommended reading, I refer you to the articles: Are We Living in the Biblical Latter Days? What Ezekiel 38-39 Reveals about a Future World War III [PDF], The USA in Bible Prophecy and the article on Japan’s role in latter-day prophecy (all available at either this website’s homepage or at the Articles link).

PS. I’m supposed to be on a writing Sabbatical, but so many key world events are occurring that it is hard to refrain from writing some blog posts. Please continue to pray that God will heal me and restore me to wholeness so I can write as often as I previously did.

Ghazwatulhind Authentic References – Sunan-Nasai Vol.2

Posted in Ghazwatulhind References, Prophecies of Islam with tags , , , , , , on January 16, 2011 by ghazwatulhind

In lots of discussions online and elsewhere, Ghazwatulhind is often described as a “myth” and its Ahadith are described as “fabricated”. Even some Muslims in India like to deny them in swing of Patriotism for their homeland. To answer this heinous propaganda against Islam and the Ahadith, I am attaching reference of Ghazwatulhind which is present in Sunan-Nasai, one of the 6 Authentic Books of Ahadith in Islam. Regarding Ghazwatulhind, there are two Ahadith available at the mentioned page number.

Sunan Nasai – Volumen No. 2,
Chapter “Kitab-ul-Jihad”
Sub-Chapter “Ghazwatulhind”

For quick review, I am placing a screen-shot of Ahadith and their translation but I encourage everybody to explore the original references and witness these Ahdith themselves.

Prediction of India-Pakistan war by Nosterdameous – A Wrong Interpretation

Posted in Threats to India with tags , , , , on January 15, 2011 by ghazwatulhind

[X.96] The Religion of the name of the seas will win out Against the sect of the son of “Adaluncatif”: The stubborn, lamented sect will be afraid of the two wounded by A and A.

The religion of the name of the seas may be “Hindu”. The word Indian came from the word Hindu and Indians call the Indian Ocean “Hind Mahasagar (Ocean)” and India as “Hindustan”, literally meaning the land of the Hindus. No other major religion has any remote connection in its name with any ocean.

“Adaluncatif” – whatever or whoever this is, this surely is a Muslim sounding name. The sect of the son of Adaluncatif is then Islam. “The stubborn, lamented sect” – Nostradamus’s way of describing Islam). “A & A” – the name of the person “Adaluncatif” contains these initial alphabets.

May be some thing like Acdun-al-Atif (Abdul-al-Atif?) or something close. What is apparent is that “Adaluncatif” – a Muslim will carry out an attack against the people whose religion is of the name of the seas (probably Hindus) who, in turn, will then retaliate causing the Muslims to fear them.

This might indicate a future attack on two senior Indian leaders by Islamic Terrorists, which will injure the two leaders, but will fail to kill them. These leaders will then order retaliatory attacks on Pakistan, which will cause fear among them. Ultimately, India will win the war against Pakistan.

India-Paksitan War – Will it be India who would win?

Lets put some facts straight which are wrongly put in the above quoted interpretation.

The word “Hind” refers to the Civilization that established by the river “Sindh” and the people who spread from that area were identified as “Hindus”.

The word Hindu is the Persian name of the Indus River (Sanskrit Sindhu) in the northwestern part of the Indian subcontinent.[3] The Persian term was further loaned into Arabic as al-Hind referring to the land of the people who live across river Indus, and into Greek as Indos, whence ultimately English India.[4] By the 13th century, Hindustān emerged as a popular alternative name of India, meaning the “land of Hindus”.[5]

So the argument that Hindu is Religion of name of the seas is factually wrong. Name “Indian Ocean” was named after the land “Hind” as “Hind’s (Indian) Ocean” not the other way around.

Second, “Adaluncatif” – whatever or whoever this is, this surely is a Muslim sounding name.”

No its not Muslim Sounding name. You might be confusing it with “Abdul” (which means the one who worships) but Muslims put “Abdul” before names of Almighty Allah like “AbdulSamad” and “AbdulRazaq” where “Samad” and “Razaq” are names of Allah.  Complete Names of Allah are available over here.
Reference to Names of Allah:

For a moment, lets assume this is “abdul” which Nostradamus actually meant. The now look at the second word Adaluncatif. “UNCATIF” is not a name of Allah or something even 10% close to any of His names. So whoever “Adaluncatif” is used for, it is not about Muslims.

Third, if we, by forcing ourselves,  accept the word “Adaluncatif” is actually “Abd-al-Latif” then Abdul-Latif must have been some of the “originators of Islam” or “some Great King” or “Caliph” or a Spiritual Leader/Politician who Nostradamus is actually referring to but there is no one who holds this name and who have been either a king (let along a be great king) or Caliph or somebody important by who’s reference Muslims could be Identified.

Forth, Muslims are only identified by reference of Prophet Mohammad PBUH. Even Shias (who are a major sect of Islam) and who have great affection with Hazrat Ali (R.Z) are still followers of Prophet Mohammad PBUH.

Concluding, neither there has been any leader of Pakistan by the name Abdul-Latif neither Hind is religion of name of seas. So what you are referring to is not relevant in the context you are putting.  If you are eager to learn more about “Adluncatif”, try visiting the This website. Discussion on Ghazwatulind – Maniac Muslim

Posted in Prophecies of Islam with tags , , , , , on December 26, 2010 by ghazwatulhind

This is an excrept from one of the discussions taking place on Maniac Muslim.

Ahadith in Islam are one of the most Authentic and undisputed religious assert after Quraan. There are 4 of such Ahadith which says that India will be taken over by Muslims near the end of times because there in Ahadith its mentioned that Isa Ibn-e-Maryam (Holy Prophet Isa) will be about to arrive that time. It hurts and is unbelievable when I think that this is the fate of India in the end. Leave Islamic Prophecies aside, Nostradamus has similar prophecies about Army of Three Lions that will be taken over after the involvement of Great Queen, interpreted as Russia.

Have a look at what Nostradamus stated:……us-predictions

Go to Page 96, Verse No. 16 which says

The deep entry made by the great Queen
will make the place powerful and incredible;
the army of three lions will be defeated
causing within a thing hideous and terrible.

I have been watching all the series of “Nemat Ullah Shah Wali” URL:…ullah-Shah-Wali who has written more then 250 prophecies about Indian and Countries around. These prophecies are nearly 800 years old and 80% of them have been ful-filled with exact dates, exact name of the people, time. So even this book is studied and its prophecies are evaluated, one would believe that whatever this book is saying, has happened and whatever is left, will happen. Remaining 20% prophecies are mostly about India and Pakistan / Afghanistan and the foreign policy of the world towards this region. Nemat Ullah Shah Wali says that there will be two more wars (After the war of 1971) between India and Pakistan. One will be a regional kind of war that might have already happened in the form of “Karghil Conflict”, and the other will be the final battle that will result in the fall of India and Pakistan would take over Dehli. (He has particulrly mentioned that “Dehli will be Pak”). So thinking all that, I am sure that this is matter of fate and this is about to happen. Its written by God and no human could change the future.

I am only curious that how such a Large Nation like India would fall to a country that is not even 10th of its might. But when I look at differences of Hindus with Shoders (Hindus of lower cast or lower religious value) and Muslims (who are treated more or less the same way) of India, I feel this war will not be between two Countries as we see, this will be between two Nations and Muslims believe they are one Nation no matter in which country they are living, even if they are living in England, they consider themselves to be part of Muslim Ummah first. Remember the Afghan War of 80s in which Muslims from North, East, South and the West combined and fought against Russia and defeated it. I understand there were Western Forces fighting backing up all that but this could happen again in the Case of India if China, Iran and Afghanistan play their role. I believe something similar will happen to India and India will also have a severe kind of resistance from Muslims which is nearly 15% of Indian Population.

Hydro American:

Yes,no doubt hadiths play a major role in our deen, but not those that are weak or fabricated.  Unfortunately, man of these weak and fabricated hadith are still going around the subcontinent.
In order for a hadith to be accepted we have to know the chain of narration and its classification by famous muhaddiths like Bukhari, Muslim, etc.

Some one is going to get banned again. And I think only one person is going to get banned, because both accounts probably belong to the same person.

Not-you-again is the other side of the copy paste scholars which we saw few months back on MM. In the end all copy paste scholars are easy to recognize. They copy-paste and they strongly try to impose their views on others. Often misguided views too!

Yes the 4 Ahadith that I am talking about are not listed in Sahi Bukhari or Sahi Muslim but in Sunan Nasai Vol. 2 . If you analyze Books of Ahadith, you will find there are more than 10 Ahadith that have discussed the War-Of-India (GhazwatulHind). Reason why only 4 of them are referenced is because these 4 are extremely credible otherwise one would say there exist 10+ Ahadith. Have a look at their references and what Ravis are saying about what Holy Prophet PBUH said. No Hadith is contrary to the other but is in support of it. One of the Ravi of these 4 Ahadith is Immam Abu Huraira who is the Ravi of thousands of Ahadith and one of the most credible person. There are 10s of other scholars of the time who confirm the credibility of these selected Ahadith. These Ahadith were written almost 1400 years ago when there was no regional bias or signs of India/Pakistan as such and chances that somebody might have “cooked” something to affect regional policies of today would be nothing but absurd. So what reason one might have to deny them? I would say yes, these Ahadith are credible and without any trace of doubt.

Provide a chain of narration or it is just you making it up.

LOL.. komon take a breath. No offense but dont expect some latest high-tech multi processing long battery time reference released in year 2009 would be there to support these Ahadith. When you are looking for references from religious scriptures, those will be copy-pasted! So bare with me on that.

Regarding References, You can find Ahadith of Ghazwatulhind in Sunan Nasai, Volume No. 2,  Chapter: Kitab-ul-Jihad and Sub-Chapter: Ghazwatulhind. Sunan-Nasai is one of the 6 Books of Ahadith and there is no doubt weather discussion of GhazwatulHind is there no not. Ghazwatulhind is Authentic as much as any other Hadith mentioned in the book of Ahadith.

But let me put all the reference books for One Hadith now so you could also start and make needful research if needed.

“I was told by my khalil, the truthful and believed in, the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) that there will be in this umma an expedition sent to Sind and Hind (India) … .” The rest of the narration is the same but it has the following addition, “… then I will be released from the Hellfire.

1st Referenced by Immam Ahmed Bin Junbal and Quoted in his Book “Albadaya-Wanahaya”
2nd REferenced by Immam Nissai (Author of Sunun Nissai) also Quoted this Hadith with slightly different wordings in his books “Sunun Almujtaba” and “Sununul Kubra”.
3rd Referenced by Immam Behiqi Quoted in “Sununul Kubra”.
4th Referenced by Immam Ahmed in Masnad.
5th Immam Abu Naeem Isfahani Quoted in his book “Khaliya-tul-Aoliya”
6th Saeed Bin Mansoor Quoted in his book “AlsunNun”
7th Naeed Bin Hammad (Teacher of Immam Bukhari) Quoted in “Alfatan”
8th Iban-e-Ibi Khatim in his book “Al-Allal”
9th Immam Bukhari in his book “Tareek-Al-Kabeer”
10th Immam Mazi in his book “Tehzeeb”
11th Iab-e-Khujar Askalani in his book “Tehzeeb Al Tahzeeb”.

I have read the references of Hadith No. 1 and tried to write as much close to their original name as much I can. Howerver Arabic names might be pronounced a little diffent than they are done in Urdu and I appologise for any difference in them. Now that was one Hadith only, 11 References other than the original Reference of Immam Abu Huraira.. 12 in Total for just one hadith. There 4 more to go and I hope those references will be equally credible as these are.

Lets stop thinking that we are right and others are wrong on the basis of our limited intellect. We as a human dont know many things and there will be new things that God will keep revealing to us throughout our lives. So one should remain open to analyze and study the presented subject matter. If presented material is not credible enough, you are welcome not to believe it but rejecting before actually studying the content would be a fault. Lets avoid that and improve our approach towards Islam and Life in general.

Jazak-Allah for your time and attention. May God bless you all.

History of Islamic Expeditions against Hind

Posted in Prophecies of Islam, Threats to India with tags , , , on October 13, 2010 by ghazwatulhind

Ghazawatulhind has recently got a lot of attention and an intense debate is found on the top on two opponent fronts. There are 10s of blogs and websites who project Ghazwa-e-Hind as a hoax and myth. Where I respect their opinions, I want to bring historical references to their attention and the fact that these Ahadith are 1400+ years old and it is not possible that these Ahadith got “discovered” only now and these were never discussed or believed in the time before us.

Lets have a look at some of the expeditions that were launched towards India by Muslims in the near and distant past.

Hafiz Ibn Kathir [Author of Tafseer Ibn Kathir] in his another book “Al Bidaya Wan Nihaya” [From the Beginning to End]’s last Volume “Al Nihaya Wal Bidaya” had discussed this Hadith of Ghazwa-e-Hind and in total had given names of more than one such Islami Military Campaigns on Hind [many Deobandis and other Mullahs in India and Pakistan too are now being apologetically say that many campaigns were not for the sake of Islam – what a joke] . The commentary by Ibn-e-Kathir [Mohaddis] on that “Ghazwa-e-Hind Hadith is worth reading and he interpreted that Hadith [with Historical References and Health of the Narrators’ Chain] and clearly written that all those Islamic Armies who launched expedition on Hind [Ibn Kathir was an Scholar of Hadith and History and his School of Thought was of same which is now followed in Saudi Arabia and Wahabi Belt] were Jihad and he included Mohammad Bin Qasim and Mahmood Bin Subugtagin [Mehmood Ghaznavi] and many other Turks Kings. He included China and Central Asia while interpreting these Hadiths. [Reference: Authenticity of Hadiths anc Narrators get Al Taqreeb by Ibn Hajar Asqalani.]

And before Muhammad Bin Qasim’s Army.

Abdullah Shah Ghazi is considered to be patron saint of Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. The dargah of Abdullah Shah Ghazi is located in Clifton neighborhood of Saddar Town in Karachi. The real name of Abdullah Shah Ghazi was Abdulla bin Nahban and he was a General in Umayyad Army who died at Debal while trying to conquer Sindh in 711 CE. This army was led by Abdulla bin Nahban and Badil bin Tuhfa, respectively and were both defeated at Debal. According to Dr. Daud Pota the tomb of Abdullah Shah at Clifton in Karachi is of this General, Abdulla bin Nabhan. [Nuzahat ul Khawatir by Abul Hasan Ali Nadvi Former Head of Daul Uloom Deoband and his father Abdul Hai Nadvi]

Please keep one thing in Mind that First Islamic Army rather a Trade Delegation had arrived in South India [Malabar] during the Rule of Hazrat Uthman [May Allah be pleased with him] – The first ship bearing Muslim travelers was seen on the Indian coast as early as 630 AD. H.G. Rawlinson, in his book: Ancient and Medieval History of India claims the first Arab Muslims settled on the Indian coast in the last part of the 7th century AD.

  • Cultural Heritage of India Vol. IV

It is also an important to remember that Muslim Warriors (after becoming victorious in constantinople and which was also prophesied by Prophet Muhammad PBUH) launched numerous campaigns on India. Mahmood Ghouri, Mahmood Ghaznavi and Mohammad Bin Qasim, the Mughals, the Turks and forces coming from Central Asia kept attempting to conquer this land (Hind) which was pre-prophesiced. However none of the conducted campains resulted in fulfilment of prophecy as it has been told by Prophet Muhammad PBUH. As mentioned in Ahadith, Hazrat Isa will appear within a short span of time after Muslims become victorious and the same Muslim Army who conquered Hind will join him in Syria for the fight against Anti-Christ (Arabic name Dajjal). So until that happens, Muslims will keep attempting to fulfill this prophecy.

Hadith of Ghazwatuhind (Ghazwa-e-Hind) – With References

The undeniable references Ghazwatulhind is available in Sunan Nasai, Volume No. 2, Chapter: Kitab-al-JJihad, SubChapter: Ghazwatulhind but here are more of those to explain the context further. Learn More about it Over here.

The very first Hadees is related to Hazrat Abu Hurairah (R.A.). He says that my intimate friend Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H.) told me that:

In this Ummah, the troops would be headed towards Sindh & Hind

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (R.A.) says that if I could find a chance to participate in any of such movement & (while participating in it) I be got martyred, then well & good; if came back as a survived warrior, then I would be a free Abu Hurairah, to whom Allah Almighty would have given freedom from the Hell.”

  1. With these words, only Imam bin Hambal (R) narrated this Hadees in ‘Masnad’.
  2. And Ibn-e-Kaseer copied with his reference in ‘Al-Badaya Wa Nahaya’
  3. Qazi Ahmad Shakir gave this Hadees the beautiful stability in the explanation & search of ‘Masnad Ahmad’.
  4. Imam Nisai did narrate this Hadees in both his books: ‘As Sunan Al Mujtaba’ & ‘As Sunan Al Kubra’ with the following wordings, that Hazrat Abu Hurairah (R.A.) says, Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H.) did promise us of Ghazwa-e-Hind. If I got chance to participate in it, then I would spend all my energy & wealth in it. If I got slained, then I would be considered among the most great martyrs. And if came back, then would be a freed Abu-Hurairah.
  5. Imam Behqi (R) has also copied the same wordings in ‘As Sunan Al Kubra’. In his another narration, there is one addition. With the reference of Ibn-e-Daood, Masdad told about Abu-Ishaq Fazari that he used to say: ‘I wish that I could participate in the Ghazwat of Marbad(some place in East towards India from Arab), instead of all those Ghazwaat which I did in city Rome’.
  6. Imam Behqi (R) has talked about the same narration in ‘Dalail un Nubuwwah’. And with his reference,  this narration has been copied by Imam Syuti (R) in ‘Al Khasaais Al Kubra’.
  7. Furthermore, the following Hadees quoters have narrated the same Hadees with a few word difference.
  8. Sheikh Ahmad Shakir (R) approved the very Hadees.
  9. Ibn e Kaseer copied in ‘Al Badaya Wa Nahaya’ from the testimonial of Imam Ahmad.
  10. Abu Naeem (R) narrated it in ‘Huliyaat ul Auliya’.
  11. Imam Hakim (R) remained silent after narrating this Hadees in ‘Al Mustadrak Al Saheeheen’. While, Imam Zahbi (R) omitted it from his Mustadrak.
  12. Saeed bin Mansoor narrated it in his book ‘As Sunan’.
  13. Khateeb Baghdadi wrote in the history of Baghdad that ‘I would make myself restless in it’.
  14. Naeem bin Hammad; the teacher of Imam Bukhari (R) wrote in ‘Al Fitan’.
  15. Ibn e Abi Asim (R) did in his book ‘Al-Jihad’.
  16. Ibn e Abi Hatim (R) narrated in his book ‘Al Laal’ that ‘if I would be murdered, then would be alive by getting food (as shaheed) & if returned, then would be freed’.
  17. Imam Bukhari (R) did narrate in ‘Al Tareekh Al Kabeer’
  18. Imam Mazi did in ‘Tehzeeb ul Kamal’.
  19. Ibn e Hajar Askalani did relate this Hadees in ‘Tehzeeb Al Tehzeeb’.
According to all the people written above, this Hadees is all correct and is beautiful.

It is related to Hazrat Abu Hurairah(R.A) that Hazrat Muhammad(P.B.U.H.) talked about Hindustan(India) & said:

Definitely, one of your troop would do a war with Hindustan, Allah would grant success to those warriors, as far as they would bring their kings by dragging them in chains / fetters. And Allah would forgive those warriors (by the Blessing of this great war). And when those Muslims would return, they would find Hazrat Isa Ibn-e-Maryam(A.S.) in Syria (Shaam)”.

  1. Naeem bin Hammad quoted this Hadees in his book ‘Kitab Al Fitan’.
  2. Ishaq bin Rahuya(R) also quoted this Hadees in his ‘Masnad’, in which there are few additions, so we are also quoting this narration as well, which is as follows:-
    Hazrat Abu Hurairah (R.A.) says that, one day Hazoor (S.A.W.) said while talking about India(Hindustan);

‘Surely, your one troop would fight with Hindustan & Allah would Bless those Warriors(Mujahid) with success, that they would bring the leaders of Sindh in fetters, Allah would forgive the Warriors. Then, when they would return, they would find Isa Ibn-e-Maryam(A.S.) in Syria”.

Hazrat Abu Hurairah(R.A.) spoke:

‘If I get that Ghazwa, then would participate in it by selling all my old & new goods. When Allah would give us success, then we would come back & I would be a freed Abu Hurairah, who would come in Syria and would meet Hazrat Isa Ibn-e-Maryam(A.S.) there. O Allah’s Messenger (P.B.U.H.) ! that time, I would be in a deep desire to tell him by going close to him that I have the honour of having the company of Muhammad(P.B.U.H.).

The narrator tells that: Muhammad S.A.W. smiles by listening this.

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (R.A.) told that ‘if I could find that Ghazwa, then would sell all my new & old goods and would participate in it. When Allah (S.W.T.) granted us success & we returned, then I would be a free Abu Hurairah; who would come in the country of Syria with such a pride of finding Hazrat Isa (A.S.) over there. O Muhammad(P.B.U.H.) ! that time it would be my intense wish that by coming closer to Hazrat Isa(A.S.), I may tell him that I am the Sahabi of Muhammad(P.B.U.H.).

The narrator tells that Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H.) smiled & said: ‘very difficult, very difficult’.

This is the Hadees of Hazrat Kaab(R.A.), he says that:

A King of Jerusalem (Bait-ul-Muqaddas) would make a troop move forward towards Hindustan. The Warriors destroy the land of Hind; would possess its treasures, then King would use those treasures for the décor of Jerusalem. That troop would bring the Indian kings in front of King(of Jerusalem). His Warriors by King’s order would conquer all the area between East & West. And would stay in Hindustan till the issue of Dajjal”.

Naeem bin Hammad(R) Ustaaz Imam Bukhari(R) did narrate this Hadees in his book ‘Al-Fitan’. In it, the name of the quoter is not mentioned who related it to Hazrat Kaab(R.A.). But some Arabic words are being used, so this would be considered intersected.  Those wordings are:  (Almuhkamubnu Naafi-in Amman Haddasahu An Kaabin).
